BMW iX3 Recognised Across Major UK Automotive Awards

BMW UK is continuing its strong awards momentum this summer, with the all-new BMW iX3 receiving recognition from several leading automotive titles. The latest wins further underline the strength of the iX3 as one of the most complete electric vehicles on sale today.

Fri 12 June 2026

The BMW iX3 was named winner of the YouTube Director Award at the 2026 Autotrader Drivers’ Choice Awards, while also taking home Best Electric Executive SUV at the EcoCar Electrified Top 50 Awards 2026. It was also recognised at the 2026 What Car? Tow Car Awards, where it was named Best Electric Car for Caravans Over 1,400kg.

This is more than just another set of awards. The iX3 represents the next generation of BMW electric driving, combining long-distance capability, everyday usability and the refined driving feel customers expect from BMW.

A Standout Electric SUV

Judges praised the BMW iX3 for its strong real-world range, premium interior and intuitive technology. Its balance of comfort, practicality and performance makes it a compelling choice for drivers looking to make the switch to electric without compromising on quality or driving enjoyment. As one of the first models from BMW’s Neue Klasse era, the iX3 also gives a clear look at the future of the brand. Neue Klasse architecture was itself recognised with the Mundy Award for Engineering at the 2026 Autocar Awards, with judges highlighting the iX3 as one of the first models to showcase this new direction.

Built For Real Life

The success of the iX3 at the What Car? Tow Car Awards shows that electric vehicles are now delivering genuine everyday capability. Named Best Electric Car for Caravans Over 1,400kg, the iX3 was recognised for its stability, power and confidence when towing. That makes the iX3 more than just an impressive electric SUV on paper. It is a car designed to handle real journeys, family life, longer distances and the demands of modern driving.
